CB Bioenergia obtains license to build plant in Santiago

The plant will have the capacity to produce 10 million liters of ethanol from cereals (rye, barley, corn and wheat)

In a ceremony attended by the governor of Rio Grande do Sul, Eduardo Leite , CB Bioenergia received the license that allows the installation of a plant in the city of Santiago – RS.
The new plant will be the first unit in the State to produce ethanol from cereals (rye, barley, corn and wheat) .
The initial investment is expected to be R$100 million, with the plant expected to begin operating by the end of this year. In addition to fuel , the plant will also produce wet animal feed .
With the capacity to produce 10 million liters of ethanol per year, or 35 thousand liters per day, the company will reduce the state's dependence on the production of this type of energy source from other states and will also be another option for farmers in the state to sell grains from the winter harvest .
The factory will be built in three modules , and by 2027, investments are expected to reach R$400 million.
